Description

This is a farmhouse, dated 1742. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar detailing, and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised four bays. The original plan included a lobby entrance. A four-panel door is set within a moulded stone surround to the right of the left-hand bay. There is a similar blind door opening in the third bay. All windows have moulded stone surrounds. The ground floor has three four-pane sash windows. The first floor has three-light casements, except for the window in the third bay, which is a one-light casement. A tablet bearing the inscription "D W E 1742" is located to the left of the left-hand bay. Other features include shaped kneelers, moulded coping to the roof, end stacks, and a stack on the ridge opposite the blocked entrance.
