Description
The Crown Inn and Post Office is a terrace of a post office and public house, consisting of two houses, built in the early 19th century. It features coursed squared stone, ashlar, and graduated stone slate roofs. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. To the left of the left-hand bay, there is a half-glazed door, and a similar door is located between the central bays. There are three steps leading up to a four-panel door to the left of the right-hand bay, with a similar door to the right of the left-hand bay. All doors have plain quoined surrounds. Each floor has four windows, all with unequally hung three-pane sashes set in plain stone surrounds with sills. The building also has shaped kneelers and stone coping on the left end stack and three on the ridge. It is included in the register for its group value only.
