Description

This is a building dating from the early 19th century. It is tall but only two storeys high. The front is roughcast, with pantiles covering the roof of No. 40 and slate on No. 36. Each building has a modern casement window at both storeys. The doorways are modern, featuring paired pilasters and a frieze and cornice. Nos. 38 and 38A have a two-storey rear wing. The front features five hung sash windows with glazing bars, and a plain door. The construction is of coursed rubble. It forms a group with Nos. 22-26 (even), Nos. 30-42 (even) and Nos. 46-56 (even).
