The Hart's Head is an inn built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features watershot masonry with stone dressings and a slate roof. The building has a central staircase plan and stands three storeys high with three bays. The central entrance is framed by Tuscan pilasters and a segmental arched lintel, topped with a cornice, and has 20th-century glazed doors. There are two ground floor windows and three windows on both the first and second floors, all with plain surrounds, projecting sills, and 16-pane sash windows. The building also has projecting quoins, eaves modillions, gable end coping, and gable end ridge stacks.
To the right, there is a 19th-century wing that has undergone 20th-century alterations. This section is made of slobbered squared rubble with stone dressings and a slate roof, and it is two storeys high with three bays. The left-hand entrance features a plain surround and a six-panel door. A ground floor window to the left of the entrance has a plain surround and 25-pane sashes, while two small ground floor windows on the right have plain surrounds and casements. On the upper floor, there are three windows with plain surrounds; two on the left have 20-pane sashes, and the right-hand window has 25-pane sashes. The wing also has a right-hand kneeler and gable end coping, along with a central ridge stack.
