Description

The Market Cross in Giggleswick, dating from around 1400, is constructed from millstone grit. It features a square base raised on three steps and has a chamfered shaft that rises to a height of approximately 2 to 4 metres. The head of the cross is designed as a trefoiled Greek cross with a pierced centre. The cross was relocated to its current site in 1840.
