Description

West Wold Old Farmhouse is a building that was originally a racecourse grandstand, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and has a roof made of Westmorland slate. The building has two storeys and features four windows on the first floor. There are two sash windows with glazing bars, which are flanked by blocked doorways, all of which have keyed wedge lintels. On the first floor, there are more sashes with glazing bars, with one being blocked, all resting on a continuous sill. The gable has coping and shaped kneelers. A stack rises through the rear pitch of the roof. The building was disused at the time of the last survey.
