Description
The Norcliffe Arms is a public house that has been converted into a house, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a pantile roof. The building has a hearth-passage plan with an outshut to the left. It stands two storeys tall and has two first-floor windows. The entrance consists of a six-fielded-panel door with glazed upper panels, which is flanked by two-light Yorkshire sash windows. There is a casement window in the outshut. On the first floor, there are two-light Yorkshire sash windows. The building is characterized by segmental brick arches throughout, gable coping, and has end and ridge stacks.
