39 Queen Street is a late 18th-century building that has been altered. It stands four storeys tall and is constructed of red brick, featuring brick bands between the storeys. The building has a moulded modillion wood cornice and three irregularly spaced windows on the upper floors. These windows are recessed sashes with keystones set in flat gauged brick arches. The ground floor has a modern shop front that has been built out. This building is listed for its group value, as it is part of a collection of listed buildings on the east side.
