Tennis Court Approximately 50 Metres North of Baldersby Park House

This is a tennis court built in the mid to late 19th century, located approximately 50 metres north of Baldersby Park House. It is constructed of red and brown brick in English bond and features a Westmorland slate roof. The building is two storeys high with three bays, and there is a taller single storey hall at the rear. The central entrance has panelled double doors with a flat soldier arch, and it is flanked on both floors by 16-pane sash windows that have stone sills and cambered gauged brick arches. There are giant pilaster strips at the corners and beside the door, with a round arch above the entrance and a dog-tooth cornice over the windows. Diaper brickwork is present above the entrance. The hipped roof has a train hall gable behind the entrance block, which features three blind arches with a stepped gable above. The right return of the building has a hall of four bays divided by buttressed pilasters and large iron-framed windows. Inside, there is a balcony at the east end supported by iron pillars with round arches. The roof structure consists of iron rods decorated with roses and buds, along with wooden lining and a glazed ridge.
