This milestone, located at the turn for Goosemere Height, dates from the mid 19th century. It is a monolith with a wedge-shaped plan, causing its faces to be slightly angled toward the road, and features a rounded top. The milestone is inscribed with the distances: "To Gisburn 5 Miles/To Settle 6 Miles".
