Description
The Sports Shop is a former warehouse that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The central entrance is flanked by two windows on each floor. The entrance features moulded jambs, impost blocks, a round head, and a keystone. There is a former door on the first floor that has been converted into a window, with a sill supported by consoles and a triple keystone above it. The second floor has a similar opening, which includes a 19th-century iron swing crane to the left. The ground floor has shop fronts that were added around the 1970s. The first floor windows have projecting surrounds and sash windows, while the second floor windows are smaller and have 20th-century casements. The building is accented with projecting quoins and has a modillioned pediment featuring a keyed oeil de beuf in the tympanum. A ridge stack is located on the left-hand gable end.
