Description
This is a manor house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century. The front is constructed of squared sandstone with raised quoins and sandstone ashlar dressings; the sides and rear are of rubble sandstone, and the roof is covered in concrete pantiles with rebuilt brick stacks. The house has a basement and two storeys, with a three-window front. A central six-panel door, with a divided overlight, is approached by a straight flight of steps. Basement windows are two-light, 12-pane horizontal sliding sashes. The window to the left of the door is a 12-pane sash, and the window to the right is a paired 12-pane sash, set within an enlarged opening. The first floor has two-light, 8-pane horizontal sliding sashes. All openings have keyed, raised surrounds. A raised plinth band runs along the base of the front. There is a stepped eaves course, coped gables, shaped kneelers, and end stacks.
