Description

This is an early 19th-century house situated on Village Street in Welburn. It is constructed of squared sandstone with a slate roof and brick stacks. The house follows a central-stairhall plan and includes a rear service extension. The front facade is three windows wide and two stories high. A central four-panel door is located beneath a divided overlight. The windows are 16-pane sashes with stone sills, and all openings have painted wedge lintels. The house has end stacks. To the front are railings and two garden gates, standing approximately one metre high on a low stone plinth. The railings are spearhead style and feature spiral standards with urn finials.
