SE 04 NW KILDWICK GRANGE ROAD (north side, off)

1/3 Kildwick Grange Farmhouse. 10.9.54

GV II

Farmhouse. Mid - late C17. Gritstone rubble, graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays, with added bay to left. Quoins. Central half-glazed door in chamfered quoined surround. Recessed chamfered mullion windows, of 4 lights to ground floor and 3 to first floor, with a small single light to left on each floor. End stacks, external on right. Added bay to left has C20 door in quoined surround with large lintel right; a 5-light inserted window to left and 2 windows with reused stone to jambs and lintels above. Right return: an external stack, small single-light window to left on ground and first floors, 2-light window to right. Interior not inspected at resurvey, but reported to contain evidence of a firehood and king-post roof trusses. Yorkshire Building Study Group, Report No. 591, 1979.
