Description
Kildwick Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of gritstone rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with an additional bay on the left side. The corners are marked by quoins. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a chamfered quoined surround. The windows are recessed and have chamfered mullions, with four lights on the ground floor and three on the first floor, along with a small single light window to the left on each floor. There are external stacks at both ends, with the right side featuring an external stack and a small single-light window on both the ground and first floors, as well as a two-light window to the right. The added bay on the left has a 20th-century door in a quoined surround with a large lintel to the right, a five-light inserted window to the left, and two windows above with reused stone for the jambs and lintels. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey but is reported to contain evidence of a firehood and king-post roof trusses.
