Description

The Dales Outdoor Centre, formerly known as the Pennine Boats Office, is a late 18th-century building that was originally a canal warehouse. It is constructed of stone rubble with quoins and features a stone flag roof. The building is two storeys high and has a segmental-arched opening that extends the full height and is now glazed. Additionally, there is one three-light stone mullioned window, one sash window, and two modern windows that were formerly mullioned. An attached hoist is present on the building.

The gable end on the right side has two panelled doors, a 16-paned casement window on both the ground and first floors, and a 35-paned window in the gable. The facade facing the canal includes a similar full-height opening that is now glazed, stone-mullioned windows, a convex niche, and another hoist attached to the wall.
