Description
The building is an early 19th-century fire station, originally a chapel, located on Coach Street. It is constructed of stone and consists of two storeys with a decorative band. The main entrance features a round-arched doorway complete with a keystone, imposts, and a fanlight, although it has been modified to accommodate fire engines. On either side of the main doorway, there is a round-arched long window with radiating glazing bars in the heads, and above, there are five similar windows. The left end of the building is curved and includes a former doorway that is topped with a cornice.
