Description

The building at 2 Cross Street is probably of the late 18th century and stands on the bank of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It is a warehouse constructed of roughcast over stone rubble, with quoins and a stone flag roof. The building is two and three storeys high, with entrances at three levels. Small-paned windows are visible throughout. The towpath frontage is of stone rubble and incorporates a large round-arched sash window, along with smaller sashes featuring small panes and metal glazing bars.
