Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of six cottages located on the east side of Undercliffe. The cottages are built of coursed stone with a pantile roof, featuring kneelers to the gable ends, and have six brick stacks. Each cottage has two storeys and six sash windows with glazing bars, topped with stone lintels that have incised keystones. The ground floor lintels also feature keystones. The original doors were of six fielded panels with rectangular fanlights, although some have been blocked. There are two steps leading up to the cottages, with modern doors now in place at numbers 14 and 15. The cottages have a plinth, and numbers 14 and 15 have modern glazing on both floors. Numbers 8 to 19 form a group, and numbers 8 to 12 are of particular local interest.
