Description

SE 4492-4592 NETHER SILTON LEAD LANE (south side, off) 8/52 Stone pillar approximately 75 metres to west of Manor Farmhouse

GV II Pillar. Dated 1763. Stone square-section pillar, approximately 1 1/2 metres high. South side bears well-lettered inscription of 5 lines of letters with date. Inscription is written in a code which is supposed to be connected with the rebuilding of the manor house.
