Description

A former house, likely dating from the 16th century, and subsequently altered and extended. It is now a butcher's shop. The building was probably timber-framed and originally clad in reddish-brown brick, but the facade has been rendered and whitewashed, with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high with two windows on the first floor. The entrance door is a two-panel wooden door within a timber frame, located to the right of centre. To the right of the door is a plate glass shop window under a canopy, and to the left a late 20th-century casement window. The first floor has Yorkshire sash windows. The roof is swept, with a ridge and end stack. An outshut, with a catslide roof, is situated at the rear. Internally, there is a timber arcade, extending to both the ground and first-floor rooms. The interior has not been fully inspected.
