Description
Albert Row is a row of three cottages built in the early 19th century. Constructed from rubblestone and brick, the cottages feature a pantile roof and stand two storeys tall with three bays. On the ground floor, there is a door to the right of each bay; the central door is half-glazed while the others have four panels. Each door is topped with a four-pane overlight, and all have flush architraves and segmental arches. The windows on the ground floor are 12-pane sashes. On the first floor, there are unequally-hung 9-pane sashes, all with stone cills and segmental arches. The cottages have brick eaves, end stacks, and two ridge stacks. Albert Row is significant as an unaltered example of a once common type of urban dwelling.
