CARLTON HUSTHWAITE VILLAGE STREET SE 57 NW (north side) 2/18 Carlton House GV II

House. Dated 1674, with later alterations. Rendered, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, with C19 brick wing added to rear left. Central C20 part- glazed hardwood door in ashlar surround with moulded arris and segmental-arched head with projecting keystone on which are sunken panels with raised characters '1674 B K', surmounted by ogee cornice. C20 16-pane sash windows with project- ing sills. Kneelers of bolection section with nailhead decoration. Moulded ashlar coping with nailhead motif. On both left and right returns are large stepped external stacks, that to left larger, and with brick to rebuilt topmost portions.
