Description

Nos 14 to 17 Birdgate are 18th century buildings that stand two storeys tall, constructed of brick with a pantile roof. The gable end is stone-coped and features a kneeler on the left side. The front has five windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is an early 19th century shop front with glazing bars on the left and a 19th century shop front with plain pilasters on the right. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 and No 12, forming a cohesive architectural ensemble with Nos 14 to 19.
