Description

Lower Hillside is a cottage dating from the 1690s, formerly part of Hillside. It features rendered walls, stone dressings, and a stone slate roof. The entrance on the left is from the 20th century, with a plain surround and a glazed door added around 1980. To the right is an early Victorian window, which has remnants of a three-light double chamfered mullioned window above, although the mullion is now missing. The extreme right bay has a two-light double chamfered mullioned window on each floor. All windows are fitted with 20th-century casements. The eaves are supported by modillions, and there are two ridge stacks, with the one on the right located at the junction with Hillside.
