Description
Dr Bucks House is a house that was used as a bank at the time of listing. It dates from the 18th century and features mid-19th century changes to its windows. The building is constructed of watershot masonry with stone dressings and has a stone slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance has a plain surround and a 20th-century door. All windows have plain surrounds and projecting sills. The ground floor windows feature 20th-century sashes, while the outer windows on the first and second floors have sashes, and the central windows are blind. The building has projecting quoins, modillions at the eaves, and kneelers at the gables. There are gable end ridge stacks. At the rear, there is an 18th-century stair window with two lights, flat-faced transoms, and mullions. The roof features an 18th-century queen post structure.
