Description
This is a tombstone dating from 1732, located approximately 2 metres south of the west end of the nave of the Church of St Andrew in Kirkby Malzeard. The tombstone is made of stone and features a shaped tablet with moulded edges set on a plinth, which has carved consoles on each side. The inscription is well lettered and reads: "The Reverend Peter Save Bachelor of Divinity & Vicar of ye Parish 29 years was Buryed Under ye Tomb by his own desire of leying in ye Churchyard Sept the 11th 1732."
