Description
Barkways and Greystone are two houses built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared stone and ashlar, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and feature three bays, with the outer bays projecting forward and having raised quoins and gables.
Flanking the central bay are two board doors that have pointed arched lintels and chamfered surrounds. The windows are three-light chamfered mullioned windows, each with a hoodmould. In the gables, there are blind square openings adorned with moulded architraves. The stone copings are moulded and topped with fleur de lys finials. The buildings also have two ridge stacks and side wall stacks. These houses are included for their group value only.
