Description

The Market Cross in Kirkby Malzeard, dated 1886, is a stone structure. It features a square shaft that stands on a stepped square base, topped with a plain cornice and a banded ball finial. Halfway up the shaft, there is a cast-iron plaque that reads, "Rebuilt by public subscription AD 1886. Market Charter granted to John De Mowbray by Edward the first AD 1307."
