Description
This tombstone, dating from 1733, is located 12 metres southeast of the south porch of St Michael's Church. It is made of stone and features a thick slab with a plain western face. The eastern face is more ornate, showcasing a scrolled swan-neck pediment supported by fluted pilasters with Corinthian capitals. The pediment is adorned with acanthus leaf decoration. Below the pediment, there is a partly legible inscription that reads, "Here lyeth the body of Kezia, the wife of George Eaton. She died Feb 20 1733. Aged 37. Also here lyeth the body of George Eaton ...." This tombstone is included for its group value.
