Description

NORTHALLERTON HIGH STREET SE 3693-3793 (west side) 7/48 Nos 200 and 201 (formerly listed as part 9.12.69 of Nos 199/201 (premises occupied by Barkers)) GV II 2 houses, now part of department store. late C18 with extensive later alterations. Rendered, C20 pantile roof. 3 storeys, 2:2 bays. Ground floor: C20 store entrance and shop windows. First floor: sash windows with glazing bars and flush exposed sash boxes, projecting ashlar sills and flat arches. Second floor: windows match those on first floor except for being of 9 panes unequally hung. Dentil cornice. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. Rebuilt stack at left end.
