Description
26 Potter Hill is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has two storeys and attics, constructed of painted stone, with a pantile roof featuring a stone-coped gable end that has a kneeler on the left side. The attic storey has three windows with casements, while the first floor has three windows with lintels that include keystones. The ground floor features two canted bay windows and a doorway flanked by plain pilasters, topped with a cornice on console brackets. The door consists of six fielded panels and is set beneath a rectangular fanlight.
This building is part of a group that includes Nos 23 to 27, the Methodist Chapel, Nos 28 to 34, and No 33A, along with warehouse premises occupied by Frank Humble. Nos 23, 24, 28 to 34, and No 33A are recognized as buildings of local interest. Nos 30 and 31 also form a group with No 7 Train Lane.
