Description
Overgreen Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 18th century and likely raised in the 19th century, features an attached former dairy at the rear and a barn to the left, with additional former farm buildings now used for storage. The house is constructed of coursed sandstone with quoins and has a pantile roof. It includes brick stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. The layout follows a three-cell hearth-passage plan with a rear service wing.
The farmhouse is one and a half storeys tall with a three-window front. There is a boarded door to the left of the center, accompanied by a two-light horizontal sliding sash window with a keyed lintel to the left. To the right, there are two additional two-light horizontal sliding sash windows with plain lintels. The façade features three inserted gabled half-dormers, each with four-pane pointed sashes, as well as pierced and scalloped barge boards and finials. The gable walls are coped and have moulded kneelers. There are two end stacks, with one located left of center. Inside, the plan remains intact, and the original trap-door access to the upper floor is preserved.
