Description
Barn House is an early 19th-century house that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed of coursed herring-bone tooled sandstone and features a concrete pantile roof with brick stacks. The house has a central stairhall plan and is two rooms deep. It is symmetrical, with a two-storey and attic design, presenting a three-window front. The entrance consists of a 20th-century panelled door topped with a rectangular fanlight, all sheltered by a corbelled pedimented porch. The windows are 16-pane sashes, equipped with stone sills and channelled wedge lintels that include keystones. There are also 20th-century inserted dormers. The gable walls are coped, with moulded kneelers and end stacks.
