Description
This barn, located north of Mount Pleasant Farmhouse, is dated and inscribed with "IT 1791". It features red sandstone rubble walls with flush quoins and is topped with a Welsh slate roof that has coped gables and kneelers. The left side has a bellcote base, which now supports a weather vane, while the right gable is adorned with a ball finial. The barn is a single storey with three bays. It has a central segmental cart entrance flanked by full-height pent extensions that enclose stone steps leading to loft doorways. The left side includes a plank door set in a rebated stone surround, and the right side has a doorway with a shaped-headed arch and a brick-blocked window.
