Description
Banktop House is a house dated and inscribed with "RW 1617," featuring later alterations. It has painted roughcast walls and a rebuilt 20th-century graduated greenslate roof, along with 20th-century red sandstone chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has four bays, although the left part is concealed by a later extension. There is a 20th-century door on the left within a stone surround, above which is a dated plaque. On the right, there are 18th-century double sash windows and upper-floor Yorkshire sashes, all set in small painted stone surrounds. The interior boasts a beamed ceiling. The later right-angled extension is not of interest.
