Description

The boundary stone at Scatterbeck is an early 19th-century parish boundary marker made from red Lazonby sandstone. It is a squared stone with two edges that are partly chamfered. The stone is inscribed with "LAZONBY/SALKELD." The central inscription, which likely indicated the boundary line, is now illegible but may have read "SCATTERBECK HILL."
