Description

Salkeld House is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The exterior is painted incised stucco with V-jointed quoins on a chamfered plinth. It has a graduated greenslate roof and rendered chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a panelled door and an intersecting-glazing-bar fanlight, set within a pilastered surround with imposts and a false keystone. Sash windows with glazing bars are set in painted stone surrounds.
