Description
The gatepiers and walls at the entrance to Nunwick Hall date from the early 18th century and have had repairs made in the 20th century. They are constructed from square red sandstone. The central piers are rusticated and sit on 20th-century sandstone bases, topped with heavily-moulded caps that feature heraldic supporters. The low flanking serpentine wall has coved coping that ends in square rusticated piers topped with ball finials. These structures are listed for their group value with Nunwick Hall.
