Description
The Methodist Church on Fell Lane dates back to 1815, as indicated by its datestone. The building is constructed of stucco and features quoins, a gabled front with two decorative bands, and a parapet. The entrance showcases an impressive doorway flanked by two stone, unfluted Greek Doric three-quarter columns, topped with a block entablature and a pediment. Above the door, there is a semi-circular headed fan-light with radial glazing bars, and the door itself is an eight-panelled design that opens in two halves. The church includes three semi-circular headed sash windows with plain stone dressings on the front, as well as three similar windows on the right-hand return side facing Benson's Row.
