Description

The Methodist Church in Halberton, built in 1814 and remodelled in the late 19th century, features a simple rectangular plan with a gallery at the front over the entrance. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and has a stuccoed front beneath a slate gabled-end roof. The front facade includes a Flemish gable with a datestone in the pediment, two round-headed windows above the porch, each with two lights and leaded glass. The porch itself has a moulded cornice and modillions, supported by two Tuscan columns, and features a panelled door with a semi-circular leaded fanlight. There are two round-headed windows on each side of the church, while the rest of the structure is quite plain. The interior has not been inspected.
