Description
The Former Masonic Hall in Penrith is an early 18th-century building constructed from red sandstone. It features rusticated quoins, a heavy moulded cornice, and a parapet, topped with a slate roof that has stone copings and kneelers. The building stands two storeys tall and includes a stone band. The central entrance has a six-panelled door set within a moulded doorcase that is adorned with a cornice and a pediment supported by consoles. There are six sash windows on the ground floor and seven on the upper floor, all framed with plain architraves. Inside, the hall boasts a good staircase, along with notable panelling and woodwork.
