Description
Mansion House is a 1750 building made of dressed grey stone, which has been painted. It features a raised fore-terrace with a moulded and panelled front, along with plain string courses and window dressings. The entrance boasts a good doorway with a heavily moulded architrave, console brackets, and a segmental cornice, leading to a six-panelled door that opens in two halves. The building has two storeys and a high basement, with five sash windows on each floor. There are lower two-storey wings on either side connected by Gothick links, and these wings contain Venetian windows. A later parallel block has been added to the rear. Inside, there is a notable staircase with delicate turned iron balusters.
