Description

This is a mid-19th century bank barn located at the north end of The Rockery in Shap. The barn is constructed from coursed, squared rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof with a stone ridge. It has three plank byre doors, with a winnowing door above the central one, and a central wagon entrance that includes a cheeked porch at the rear. There is also an owl hole in the north gable. The barn is included for its group value.
