Description

A mid-18th century farmhouse with adjoining barns, situated near Kirkoswald. The farmhouse is built of coursed red sandstone rubble with sandstone slate and graduated green slate roofs, and stone chimney stacks. It is a two-story, three-bay structure. The front of the farmhouse features a plank door within a plain stone surround, with three-light windows to either side, and two-light windows above. These windows have 20th-century casements and flat stone mullions. To the left of the farmhouse is a barn with a large round-arched cart entrance and a smaller entrance to the right; a loft is accessible via external stone steps. The barn to the right also features round-arched cart entrances and external stone steps leading to a loft.
