Description

The forecourt walls and gate to Shorgill House are low walls dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from sandstone blocks and feature chamfered copings. The wrought-iron railings have standards topped with a corkscrew twist, and there are cast-iron urn and acorn finials on the posts that divide the railing sections. The central wrought-iron gate is decorated with iron-twist and scrollwork.
