Description

These privies, located approximately 10 meters south of Burton Hall, were likely built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from stone rubble and feature a graduated greenslate roof. There are entrances on either side of the wall that separates the stable yard from the garden, which are said to have been designated for workers and gentry respectively. The entrance from the stable yard has a plain board door with a flat lintel, while the entrance from the garden features a pointed-arched head with voussoirs and a decoratively-studded board door.
