Description

This is a byre/barn located to the south of Burrells House, rebuilt in 1818. The structure is made of coursed, squared rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof with a stone ridge. There is a central ramp leading up to the wagon entrance, which has a porch made of dressed stone and covered with a corrugated iron roof. On the right side at ground level, there are two plank byre doors, while the left side has one door and an inserted window. The east wall displays a pedimented panel with an inner quatrefoil surround that contains an initialed and dated shield reading "R & S rebuilt 1818."
