Description
A terrace of five houses located in Hesketh, near Calthwaite. These houses date to the early 13th century. They are constructed from mixed sandstone rubble walls with flush quoins, and have a Welsh slate roof with banked red sandstone ridge chimney stacks, one of which is brick. The properties are two storeys high, with a single bay each, all sharing a continuous roofline. Twentieth-century doors are set within raised red sandstone surrounds. Most windows are sash windows with glazing bars, also set within raised red sandstone surrounds. A left-hand lean-to extension and a rear twentieth-century extension are considered to be of no particular architectural interest.
