Description

Fieldhead Cottage is an early 18th-century house located in Fieldhead. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble walls with a graduated greenslate roof and bottom courses of sandstone slates. The roof is punctuated by 19th-century chimney stacks built of banded sandstone. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It has sash windows set in original 18th-century painted chamfered stone surrounds, which retain traces of flat stone mullions. A 20th-century plank porch has been added to the left return wall.
