Description

The buildings to the northwest of Belsey Gate Farmhouse consist of a barn and byre, constructed in the 19th century. They are made of coursed rubble with quoins and feature a graduated slate roof. The byre at the west end has a single door to the left of steps that lead to hay-loft access. The central barn/byre has a full-height door to the left, with a projecting porch that has stone flags at the eaves. To the right, there are steps leading to hay-loft access, along with a door to the ground floor below. The east end of the building features an arch with a segmental head that is keyed into the quoins of the central section. Adjoining to the south of the west end is a single-storey building with two doors, also made of coursed rubble and with quoins on the door jambs, under a graduated slate roof. A 20th-century lean-to on the north side is not included in the listing.
